About this event
Join Tutorage for our Science and Music Summer Club!
We have a set of different exciting sessions, which are run by expert tutors and professional teachers. Each session is 3 hours of fun and educational activities exploring music and science.
We run the activities in a small group for 4-10yrs. The group concentrates on learning through play and discovery, with the focus on observing cause and effect and developing a sense of rhythm and melody.
Each Session has different activities linked to a scientific topic. You can book onto any that you find interesting or do them all!
Slimetastic: A Firm favourite. We make lot's of slime and learn all about how each of the different chemical change the properties of the slime. Everyone gets to go home with a pot of their own slime design! Our musical activities have a slimer link and include a ghostbusting tune.
Cars and Carriages: Make your own self propelled elastic band car or sparkly carriage. Physics with racing games and sparkles! Accompanied by lots of racing themed musical activities and games.
Stellar Space Rockets: Design and make a Rocket, then propel it into space (or across the grass!) Learn about space, the solar system and stars. Then complete the day with Boomwhackers, lightsabers and compose your own space dance and music.
Rainbows and Illusions: We bring a little bit of magic to light waves. Design your own magic trick using light and illusion. Discover what happens to the museum when you change the colours and learn lots of new music with the rainbow Boomwhackers.
The sound lab: Explore the science of sound with hands-on experiments, musical games and creative challenges. Learn to play Boomwhackers and percussion instruments while discovering how sound works!
Surprise surprise: Join us for our final surprise session where you will not know what will happen unless you come!
All sessions will include exploring and discovering the park, the animals and plants
Please note that the club is a drop off session as we are limited for space. If you have a child that needs you to remain then please contact us and we will try to accommodate if we have space
How does our ticket pricing work? Here at Tutorage, we are committed to ensuring that education is accessible to everyone! As such, we operate a pay what you can afford price model for our Easter Music and Science Club.
Type the amount you would like to pay into the box when you book. Alternatively, if you would like to pay in cash on the day type 0.00 into the box and the booking will go through as a free entry. As a guide, each session costs us about 25.00 per child.
